About Wardhus Books

Wardhus Books is an independent UK publisher of fiction, created for stories with distinctive characters, memorable settings and an emotional life that extends beyond the final page.

What we publish

Historical romance sits at the heart of Wardhus Books, featuring fascinating heroes and women who just won't settle for less than what their hearts are searching for.

We also specialise in modoern gothic, historical and other character-led stories that resist being confined too neatly by genre.

Our books range across periods and places but share an interest in relationships, atmosphere and the choices people make when their lives are altered by love, loss, loyalty or circumstance.

Where stories belong

Wardhus Books exists to give each story the space and identity it needs — from sweeping romantic series to darker and more unusual fiction.
